KX Storm Team Friday Evening Forecast

The next Alberta Clipper system is arriving overnight, and snow will begin to fall from northwest to southeast after midnight. With increasing clouds and a southerly wind, expect temperatures to remain steady or even climb through the night. By tomorrow afternoon snow accumulations could exceed 3 inches towards the north, with an inch or 2 possible across the southern part of the viewing area. In addition, winds will be quite gusty towards southwest North Dakota, setting the stage for blowing snow and reduced visibility. Conditions look mostly dry Sunday, but a return to cold temperatures is expected to begin next week. However, a pattern change will occur by the middle of next week, warming our area back to average temperatures. We also look to remain mostly dry after tomorrow's snowfall. -Meteorologist Dave Holder
