It is never to late to realize your dream.
University of Mary Equipment Manager Jim Gremmels is headed to the NFL.
Jim accepted a position as the assistant equipment manager with the Minnesota Vikings. Jim's official last day with the university is tomorrow.
If you remember during football season, we did a story where Jim told us he sometimes works over 100 hours a week. He'll work a lot less now.
This is what he's been waiting for since he played football at Mayville State.
"I was always waiting for the [NFL] draft call," Gremmels said. "Finally after being 54 years old, I finally got the draft call. They said, 'Hey, you're going to the big show.' So very excited about going to the Minnesota Vikings."
Jim said he's going to miss the relationships and bonds he has made with the players and coaches during his time at U-Mary.
