Class AA Legion: Govs go 1-1, Chiefs winless on day two of Border Battle

The Bismarck Governors went 1-1 while the Mandan Chiefs went 0-2 on the second day of the Border Battle Tournament.

Bismarck fell to Rapid City 8-2 but defeated Pierre 5-1.

The host Chiefs also lost 8-2 to Rapid City, and the Chiefs ended the day with a 7-6 loss to Pierre in eight innings.

    The State Fair parade had over two hundred entries this year. Broadway and Burdick were packed with vehicles, big and small, roller skaters, walkers, and even some horses. But with live animals involved, there is also some cleanup. Here are some of the volunteers keeping the streets clean.

    Runners complete State Fair Parade 5K

    Just over 200 people lined up to Run the Route before the big parade. For the past three years, Danielle Turk-Bly has been the first woman to finish the 5K with an average time of 18 minutes.

    Don Bessette Aviation has been sold to a company called Executive Air. Bessette ran the business for over 15 years-- and now he's retiring. Before selling, Bessette donated a 1969 LearJet to the Dakota Territory Air Museum. The plane should be available for the public to see by the end of this year.
