Thursday's PM Forecast Update 10/12

Cooling temps into the weekend with rain/mix/snow returning, tomorrow.

From the KX Storm Center:
A cold front continues to move through North Dakota. It is cloudy and breezy with peak gusts between 30-40mph. It is not this windy for everyone and there have been a few light showers over Eastern MT & Northwest ND. Showers have been fizzling out this afternoon and there has even been some clearing. Temps will dip back to near & below freezing tonight and it will continue to cool down during the next couple of days. Rain chances will return late Friday. By Friday night & Saturday, scattered showers will transition to mix/snow for some. We are not expecting widespread, significant accumulation. However, a few parts of our northern region could get a dusting. Off/on, scattered mix/rain will continue through Saturday. Temps will not go very far and winds become breezy again. 
Daytime high temperatures will fall through the 50s and into the 40s, through 
Saturday. After precip chances end, clouds will move out of here and it will be chilly.
It will be mostly clear & chilly Saturday night. Sunday, through next week will bring a few more changes. A ridge of high pressure will bring more sunshine & warming temps through the beginning of the work week. Next week will be sunny & breezy at times with temps well into the 60s for most of the state. 

Tonight will be mostly clear and chilly. Lows in the 20s & 30s with a W/SW wind 2-10mph.

Friday will start off mostly sunny to partly cloudy with increasing clouds and rain chances picking up, after Noon. Highs in the 50s & 60s with a South/SE wind 5-15mph G20. 20% chance of rain, late.

Friday night will be partly to mostly cloudy with scattered rain, becoming mix & possibly snow. Lows in the 30s with a few 40s and a SE wind 2-12mph. 30% chance of rain/mix/snow. Little to no accumulation of snow.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy with off/on rain & mix continuing through the midday & afternoon. Clouds will be moving out, later. Highs in the 40s with a few 50s anda NW wind 5-15mph G25+.

Saturday night, mostly clear & chilly with tapering wind. Lows in the 30s with a few 20s and a NW/West wind 5-15mph.
