An active weather pattern is expected for a couple more days before more sunshine & warmer temps return. After yesterday's cold front and some patchy fog, there have been scattered light showers across our Northern Region. In our Southern Region winds have been a little stronger with more sunshine and it is a bit warmer. It is cool today and will dip a little more tomorrow with highs in the 40s for most of us. Temps will struggle to get out of the 40s and only a few areas will get to near 50. This cool spell will be short lived with clouds moving out late Saturday & Sunday. Expect highs to rebound back into the 60s through next week, staying above average for this time of the year. Monday and through next week, it will be mostly sunny with in & out light clouds and little to no chances for any precipitation. Temps will climb above average and stay there through Thursday & Friday.
When it comes to precip chances, the best chance for rain will be the rest of today and tonight. That being said, temps are also falling to near & below freezing for many of us. This means that rain will transition to mix and then snow, after Sunset. Highest snow totals will be north of hwy 2. And we are not looking at alot. Soil/turf temps are in the 40s & 50s. So if any snow accumulates, it will mostly likely be over grassy areas & elevated surfaces. That being said, temps will be well above average tomorrow. So if anything does accumulate, it will not stick around very long.
Through the next 7 days there is no risk of severe weather or significant winter weather. The only significant precip chances are tonight & Saturday.
Tonight will be partly to mostly cloudy with scattered rain, becoming mix & possibly snow. Lows in the 30s with a few 40s and a SE wind 2-12mph. 30% chance of rain/mix/snow. Little to no accumulation of snow.
Saturday will be mostly to partly cloudy with off/on rain & mix continuing into the midday. After Noon, clouds move out and it gets breezy. Highs in the 40s with a few 50s and an East NW wind 10-20mph G30.
Saturday night, mostly clear & chilly with tapering wind. Lows in the 30s with a few 20s and a NW/SW wind 2-12mph.
Sunday will be mostly sunny and breezy with temps starting to warm up. Highs in the 50s & 60s with a West/NW wind 10-20mph G30.
