Wentz season done after ACL tear

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz's 2017 season is over after tearing his ACL, Eagles Coach Doug Pederson confirmed.

The MVP candidate suffered the injury in the third quarter of Philadelphia's win over the Los Angeles Rams on Dec. 10.

The Century High alum underwent an MRI the morning of Dec. 11, according to ESPN.

Wentz was running the ball and tried to score a touchdown. He was tackled after crossing the goal line, but got up with a noticeable limp. A holding penalty negated the score.

After the play, the former NDSU Bison stayed in the game and completed the drive, but after was escorted by team personnel to the locker room.
