The winner of the Century-Bismarck football game will win the West Region.
The Patriots have beaten the Demons the last three times these two schools have met, which includes the 2016 state championship game.
The key for Century is limiting big plays, something they were not able to do against Fargo Davies last week. On two plays, Century gave up 180 and yards.
"It's crucial that you don't give up big plays," head coach Ron Wingenbach said. "If teams are going to score on you, make them go on eight, 10, 12 play drives. Giving up the big one is disheartening."
Bismarck High has been focused on perfecting their offensive and defensive schemes this week. Coach Mark Gibson said his team doesn't see this game as revenge for the state championship.
On Defense, the Demons pitched a shutout in the second half against Legacy, but when Bismarck and Century meet it's just a good ole fashion rivalry.
"It's one of those games where they know what you do," head coach Mark Gibson said, "and you know what they do. It's the kind of game where the team that makes the least amount of mistake is going to win."
The winner has the inside track for the West Region championship. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. at the Community Bowl.
