Hockey: Bobcats go from worst to first

The Bismarck Bobcats had a magical October. When they left in NAHL Showcase to start the season, Bismarck was in last place in the Central Division. Now, a month later, they are tied for first.

The Bobcats have won six of their last eight games and the other two contests ended in ties.

This weekend, Bismarck faces off with the Austin Bruins. If Bismarck wins and the Brookings Blizzards lose, the Bobcats could be in sole possession of first place.

"We haven't played Austin yet," coach Layne Sedevie said, "but they've done a nice job here as of late. Didn't maybe have the start they wanted to, but are starting to play very good."

The puck drops in the first game of a two-game series tomorrow at 7:15 p.m.
