College Swimming: UMary off to promising start

The UMary swimming team finished last season just under 500. This season the Marauders are around that mark again, as they're 2-3.

The coaching staff has been very encouraged by the effort put forth from the team to this point, and the coaches are specifically excited about big contributions coming from all over the roster.

"We had our first dual meet last week, and we did a triangular against Northern State and Augustana," head coach Allan McCallum said. "And we had a couple close wins over Northern. We won by one point on Friday night, and then three points on Saturday. So kind of an exciting way to kick off our season, and it was just a total team effort. Everybody found a way to make an impact into that."

The team is back in action Nov. 2 against Sioux Falls.
