Man Allegedly Crashes Car Through Hotel Because of Relationship Troubles

36-year-old Eric Taylor has been charged with multiple crimes after allegedly driving his car through the front door of a Williston hotel Sunday morning.

According to a court document, Taylor allegedly told police that his girlfriend was working at the hotel and that they were having relationship problems so he drove the car through the hotel to "prove a point".

The same document alleges that Taylor admitted driving the vehicle and reportedly told police "I did it. Bring me to jail. I'm drunk. I did it."

There were no injuries as a result of the crash.

Taylor has been charged with criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, driving under the influence, and driving under suspension. He is being held at the Williams County Correctional Center.

The damage to the Hawthorn Suites Hotel in Williston is estimated to be more than $30,000.
