Some students at Hagan Elementary School in Williston will be getting new Chromebooks thanks to a technology grant.
Fourth graders in Audrey Angelo's class will be receiving 25 new Chromebooks through a Classroom Build grant provided by the North Dakota Educational Technology Council.
Angelo's classroom is equipped with only 4 computers and she checks out Chromebooks from the school for her students to use.
The grant will enable all of Angelo's students to use their own devices.
"The kids did a big cheer when I announced it to them. And we're so excited. So I'm sure once we get everything all ordered, they're going to be using them like crazy," says Angelo.
The new Chromebooks are expected to arrive within the next few weeks. And Angelo says she's planning on applying for other technology grants as well.
