Time Magazine's person of the year goes to "The Silence Breakers"

Since then millions of women have come forward with their stories.

In October 1.7 million tweets included the hashtag (#MeToo) which took after actress Alyssa Milano tweeted.


"If you've been sexually harassed or assaulted write me too as reply to this tweet".


We spoke to local students to see what they had to say about it.

"I kind of have a personal connection with this issue cause I know so many girls who have opened up to me about having experiences like that but have said they don't want to do anything about it because they don't think their voices will be heard," said Danae Burke a student at Minot State University.

"It shows that we care about everybody and people might think that men are in charge but we see examples of this and it shows, we just care about everybody," said Gavin Mercer a student at Minot State University.

Other people who were nominated we're our president Donald Trump, quarterback Colin Kapernick, and many others.

but these woman took the win. The issue was released today.
