Threat Closes Schools in Bottineau

Bottineau, ND - UPDATE: Newburg-United Public School is on a soft lockdown as a precautionary measure. School officials believe there is no threat to the public.

Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood Public Schools is on a soft lockdown as precautionary measure. The school went on lockdown at 10:40am. The decision to go on a soft lockdown was made after Bottineau schools received a threat.

Schools in Bottineau, including Dakota College at Bottineau and the public schools, are closed today after a threat was received.

Sources in Bottineau say the closure started with Bottineau Public School and spread to include the college campus - which is only a couple of blocks from the high school.

The community daycare center located on the DCB campus is also closed for the day.
