Suspect now found in Minot homicide case

Minot, N.D. - 4:30 p.m. UPDATE:

The suspect Kommika K. Gregory was taken into custody without incident at about 4:00 pm this afternoon according to Minot PD. Law Enforcement say she was found in New Town, ND.

 

3:00 p.m. UPDATE:

As of 3:00 p.m. the Minot Police Department is still searching for 38-year-old Kommika K. Gregory. 

The blue 2011 Mazda CX9 has been located.

Police now say she was seen leaving the area in a black SUV style vehicle with unknown plates. 

Gregory is a black female with black hair and black eyes. She approximately 5'6" tall and weighs about 180 pounds.

11:50 a.m. UPDATE:

Minot Police have identified who they believe is responsible for the shooting of a 58-year-old male victim this morning. 

The suspect is identified as 38-year-old Kommika K. Gregory. 

She was last seen driving a Blue 2011 Mazda CX9 with ND license #060CAV. 

If anyone sees the vehicle, please call 911 and inform the dispatcher of the location. 

Police say DO NOT approach the vehicle. 

Minot Police would also like to dispel rumors circulating on Facebook about an active shooter. They say that rumor is false and that this is an isolated incident and the victim and suspect were acquaintances. 

ORIGINAL STORY:

According to the Minot Police Department a male has been shot and killed. 

They say today at 7:55 a.m. officers were dispatched to South Main Street in Minot. When they arrived they found a male at the residence who had been shot. 

He was pronounced dead on scene. 

Minot Police say information about the incident is still developing and we will issue updates as they are available.
