Rugby Is Seeing Growth In The Community

Small communities are big part of our state.

But some of those rural towns are beginning to see growth.

In Rugby, the city has already been taking action to welcome new residents.

In 2013, they started to see the potential for growth and to make sure they were ready, they implemented a main street initiative and also started building new housing developments.

One of those developments is known as Chalmers First Addition and there are over fifty lots available that are ready to be built on.

In just this year alone, 5 of those lots have been sold, and the city is expecting to see that trend continue.

"We have jobs, that we're working on providing more housing to meet the need of our future work force," said Liz Heisey, Rugby Job Development Authority Executive Director.

The development has paved roads, water & sewer, gutters, and curbs.
