Marketplace Welcomes Class B Tournament With 50 Foot Caramel Roll

Minot, ND - There was a sweet celebration at Marketplace in Minot Friday, literally.

The Stanley Blue Jays and Bishop Ryan Lions cheerleaders lined up next to a 50 foot caramel roll!

Both teams were there as 650 fresh caramel rolls were sold to the public in anticipation of the state B basketball tournament this weekend.

The team captains said they're excited to cheer at state.

(Kacey Clark/Senior, Stanley Cheer Captain) "It really excites me because I've been on the team for six years, cheering for basketball.

So, I've seen their wins and their losses and just getting to experience this with them is really amazing.

We've been waiting a long time."

(Ethlyn Voorhies/Senior, Bishop Ryan Cheer Captain) "They've worked really hard toward, there's been a lot of injuries this year so I know this didn't come easy. I think that to be here is just a great experience for all of them."

By the way, the 650 caramel rolls took 66 pounds of caramel.
