It's world AIDS day

The CDC recommends you should get tested at least once

There are an estimated 36.7 million people globally who have the virus, and the fight to find a cure continues. It this all starts with awareness.

In partnership with first district health, Pride of Minot offered the Minot community
free HIV testing this evening, the test only took fifteen minutes.

The CDC recommends that everyone between the ages of 13 and 64 get tested for HIV at least once as part of routine health care.

"The more you know the better you're prepared and the better you're prepared for your partner as well and that information is essential for communication and to be able to live your life knowing that you have done everything you can to take care of yourself," said coordinator Brandon Magtalas.

Pride of Minot will offer the free test again in the spring. Click here for more information.
