It won't be long before the snow flies - and outdoor activities become a lot less pleasant.
The good news is, you can take it inside for the winter months.
Tim Olson has the story from Minot.
(Tim Olson, KX News) This is Marc White, Minot's resident tennis pro, and the tennis director here at the Cameron Indoor Tennis Center, a half-mile north of the airport.
(White) "We specialize in tennis, tennis instruction."
(Olson) It's an activity for anyone - of any age...
(White) "From ten and under, all the way up to adults, college players..."
(Olson) ...of any skill level.
(White) "We have a high-performance program for some of the advanced high school players."
(Olson) Under White's direction, and with the help of the Minot Recreation Commission, the facilities at the Cameron have gotten an upgrade.
(White) "We had the whole facility cleaned - power washed the courts. We have new nets. We have an upstairs viewing area that's great for parents to come watch their kids."
(Olson) ...And you can even warm up with some table tennis.
Of course, one of the best features is right there in the name.
(White) "We have four heated indoor courts. So when the weather's cold outside, or windy, come on in. It's perfect conditions."
(Olson) And according to White, it's an activity you can take with you for the rest of your life.
(White) "It's a life long sport. It's fitness, and it's fun, and you can play forever."
(Olson) In Minot, Tim Olson, KX News.
