Business Beat: Mighty Missouri Coffee Shop, Fireflour, & Cooks On Main

New businesses and expansions are taking place across western North Dakota.

The YMCA in Bismarck will is currently constructing a new addition to the building..

In just a few weeks, a Mighty Missouri Coffee Shop will be up and running, ready to serve you a cup of Joe.

This will be the coffee shops second location in Bismarck, offering residents one more place to get their morning fix.

"It's important for the Y to be a very welcoming and inclusive safe space for our community and we felt the coffee shop here would really enhance that and also add convenience and value to our membership," said Bill Bauman, Executive Director.

The shop is expected to open on November 20th.

And if you're not a member of the Y, don't worry, this shop is open to any and all customers looking for some coffee!

And that's not the only place in town that will now have one more breakfast destination...

Fireflour has recently added a breakfast menu, with everything from coffee and scones to prosciutto Benedict.

With a new pastry chef on staff, he says this was a simple decision, especially because most of the ingredients used were already in their kitchen.

Cooks on Main in Williston is expanding about 2800 square feet.

The business added an oil and vinegar bar, a culinary center that offers classes, and a coffee bar.

With the additional space, they are able to host 2 to 3 classes a week and can range from nutrition classes, date nights, or category classes such as how to do pressure cooking.

"We want our customers to be able to taste, try, and experience the product before they go home," said Angela Skogen, Cooks On Main Owner/Operator.
