Archery State Tournament Welcomes A Thousand Students

The North Dakota state archery tournament welcomed nearly a thousand students to compete for nationals.

The tournament had individual and team categories that were based on gender and age.

Students from 3rd grade up to 12th grade were competing for the top 10 spots.

(Lisa Neameyer, Rolla Coach) "That was our family time together and its just progressed into the NASP sporting."

(Lisa Neameyer, Rolla Coach) "Remember what you have to do. Just take your time."

(Lisa Neameyer, Rolla Coach) "When its your own kids you can work that much closer with them and it just means a lot more."

(Alexus Arthur, KX News) "As a coach, she knows knows how it feels to shoot the bow and arrow and she loves to give her kid that same feeling."

(Lisa Neameyer, Rolla Coach) "You're just focusing, just kind of zoning in on that one spot and then when the arrow goes."

(Lisa Neameyer, Rolla Coach) "You think of the anxiety being gone but it's not because you still hold that excitement."
