Volunteers set up an Angel Tree for Dickinson animal shelter

Some local residents in Dickinson are making sure the animals in the local shelter are provided for during the holidays.

Volunteers from the City of Dickinson Animal Shelter partnered up with Runnings to set up an Angel Tree for animals.

The tree has about 50 tags on it for dogs and cats, and people can donate anything from food to kitty litter.

Some residents have already donated shopping carts full of supplies to the shelter.

"We don't have a large budget for the animal shelter, so we are always running low on supplies out there," said Dawn Kadrmas, volunteer.

Currently, the City of Dickinson Animal Shelter is caring for about 15 animals, and the deadline for those donations is Dec. 22.
