Dickinson will be showing it's appreciation to more than 300 veterans this weekend.
The American Legion in Dickinson will be sponsoring it's Veterans Day Ceremony at Dickinson State University.
The event has been a staple in the community since 1920 and involves music, military flag presentations, and veterans will address the audience, to show their appreciation to the soldiers, retired and active, who risk their lives for our freedom.
"We have quite a turnout. About 200 to 300 people show up for this ceremony, including some classes from junior highs and elementary schools. I think that is kinda unique because we involve the whole community," said Dr. Richard Brauhn, organizer and military veteran.
The ceremony starts Saturday at Dickinson State University at 11 a.m.
