From the KX News Dakota Storm Center:
After a chilly start, we have been seeing another round of sunshine with light winds and temperatures have again climbed into a pleasant range. This calm Fall pattern will continue for most of our area as we go into the next couple of days. Thursday, a Southeast breeze will pick up and become moderate to strong. Through the end of the work week & weekend, this breeze will continue with temps gradually climbing to slightly above average. Also, more cloud cover will come into play with low rain chances. Sunday & Monday will bring our next system and our next chance for rain & thunderstorms with a moderate to strong wind that will remain gusty at times. Going through the beginning of the work week, expect gradually tapering rain chances followed by clearing and a cool down. Other than this next system rain chances will be limited to a weak piece of energy that will roll through the Dakotas Thursday night & Friday. It will bring a moderate to strong wind with in & out clouds and scattered light rain will be possible, as we wrap up this work week.
Tonight, expect mostly clear skies with a few clouds rolling in and a cool feel. Lows in the 40s with a few 30s and an East/SE wind 2-10mph.
Thursday, winds will start to pick up with plenty of sunshine and in & out light clouds, late. Highs on either side of 70 with a SE wind 10-20mph G30.
Thursday night will bring fair to partly cloudy skies with a cool feel. After Midnight, there will be a chance for scattered light rain. Lows will be on either side of 50 with a SE wind 5-15mph G20.
Friday, expect mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies with in & out clouds and a chance for hit & miss showers, early. Winds will become breezy again. Highs in the 60s & 70s with a SE wind 10-20mph G30.
Friday night, partly cloudy skies with in & out cover and a cool feel. Temps will remain above average for this time of the year. Lows on either side of 50 with a SE wind 5-15mph.
