Barnes County - Two people are dead following a head-on collision on Interstate 94.
The driver of a 2017 Hyundai Elantra was traveling the wrong way on I-94.
The 35-year-old male driver was going west in an eastbound lane near mile marker 278. A 2016 Dodge Ram was traveling east in the eastbound lane when he attempted to pass another vehicle -- that's when the head-on collision occurred.
The driver of the Hyundai, a Fargo man, was ejected and the driver of the Dodge, a 31-year-old Minnesota man, was taken out of the vehicle by fire and rescue. Both men were pronounced dead at a local hospital. The passenger in the Dodge was treated for minor injuries and released.
Both drivers attempted to avoid the crash.
The driver of the Hyundai was not wearing a seatbelt.
