The latest Forecast from the KX News Dakota Storm Center.
Some showers in areas now across the state and is expected to move eastward throughout the night. Mostly cloudy skies will remain with light winds in the area. Overnight lows to be above average on either side of 40 degrees. Skies will start to clear tomorrow or Wednesday morning with highs to be in the lower to mid 60s as a warm front moves in. Temperatures on Thursday are expected to be in the upper 60s. The warmer temperatures are not going to last long as then a cold front moves through from the north and puts temperatures back into the 40s by the weekend. Some rains showers are also expected for the day on Saturday. For Halloween, temperatures will be seasonable in the 50s for highs and lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon and evening rain showers are also in the forecast at this time.
Tonight, lows above average, near 40 degrees, and winds mainly light and variable from the east then changing directions from the west. Some light rain showers may develop in areas, but moving eastward or out of the area tonight.
Wednesday, daytime highs near 60 degrees with cloudy skies to start and then a gradual clearing as the day continues. Winds continue to be light from the southwest and shifting west at 2-10 mph.
Wednesday night, lows on either side of 40 degrees with partly cloudy skies. Winds light and variable from the south southwest direction.
Thursday, temperatures warm up to the mid to upper 60s with few clouds throughout the area. Winds from the southeast at 2-10 mph.
Thursday night, above average lows in the mid 40s with clouds filling in throughout the night to partly cloudy skies. Winds light and variable.
