Suspect Arrested in Two Shooting Cases

On August 31, 2017, Joseph Wantuck III, 28 years old, Bismarck, was identified by police as the individual responsible for gunshots in the area of 1800 block of east Rosser that were shot outside of a vehicle.  Mr. Wantuck was charged with 2 counts of reckless endangerment and felon in possession of a firearm for that incident. 

On September 24, 2017, Officers were dispatched to the area of the 500 block of east Avenue E for a report of gunshots in the area.  Mr. Wantuck was the individual responsible for the gunshots in that area as well.  The gun that Mr. Wantuck used for both shootings has been recovered.  Mr. Wantuck was charged with 3 counts of reckless endangerment, possession of firearm by a felon and criminal mischief for this incident. 

On October 10, 2017, Mr. Wantuck was arrested by the Bismarck Police Department for the shooting on the 24th. 

Mr. Wantuck is currently in the Burleigh-Morton detention center and his bond is $500,000 cash.
