The latest Forecast from the KX News Dakota Storm Center.
Temperatures are warm to hot across the area today, reaching into the 90s. Humidity levels also vary as there is a difference in dew points between the western and eastern half of the state as a dry line is within the area. The dry line will fade in the overnight hours allowing for a cold front to come through. Temperatures tomorrow will be in the mid to lower 80s with comfortable conditions. A high pressure system is building across much of the country and this is allowing for sunny skies and mild temperatures throughout the week. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms does exist in the northern parts of the area for Tuesday night, but overall expect a few clouds. Breezy conditions will make a return on Thursday and partly cloudy skies. An advanced look to the weekend shows moderate temperatures and low rain chances.
Monday, sunny skies continue with a few thin clouds and a north wind shifting northeast at 2-10 mph. Temperatures will be cooler as a cold front comes through in the early morning hours with highs in the lower 80s.
Monday night, few clouds likely, but mainly clear. Lows will be in the mid 50s with a light wind out of the northeast and changing directions to the east at 1-8 mph.
