From the KX News Dakota Storm Center:
Across the area today, we started off with mostly cloudy skies and a cool feel. In the wake of a front, temps did not go very far, topping out in the 50s. We saw clearing skies across the state, resulting in a sun/cloud mix by sunset. Overnight, winds will swing around to the SE and allow for more moisture to move over the Dakotas. After Midnight and through the morning hours, expect some patchy fog to develop. The beginning of the work week will bring a few changes. A low pressure system will develop on the lee side of the Rockies, before moving through the Northern Plains. This system will bring a chance for rain, Tuesday & Wednesday. In advance of our mid-week low, expect warming temps and increasing clouds. There will be another chance for scattered rain as we wrap up the work week and go into the weekend. Most of our temperatures will be in the 50s with a few days when highs may reach into the 60s. Through most of the week daytime highs will be near/slightly above the seasonable norm. There will only be a few chances for rain Tue/Wed & Fri/Sat.
Tonight, expect fair to partly cloudy skies with more clearing for some and a chilly feel. After Midnight, patchy fog will develop and may become dense for some. Lows in the 30s with a few 40s and a light E/SE wind, 2-10mph.
Monday will bring a chilly start, followed by clearing skies and mostly sunny conditions by sunset. Highs in the 50s with a few 60s and a SE wind 10-20mph.
Monday night, partly to mostly cloudy skies with in & out clouds and a cool feel. Lows in the 30s & 40s with an East wind 5-15mph.
Tuesday will bring continued increasing clouds with scattered rain developing after Noon. Highs mainly in the 50s with an East/SE wind 5-15mph. 30% chance for rain.
Tuesday night, scattered rain will fizzle out, after Midnight with a cool feel. Lows on either side of 40 with a SE wind 2-10mph. 20% chance for rain.
