Man sentenced for robbing a Bismarck bank

A man who robbed a Bismarck bank will spend more than 5 years in federal prison.
52-year-old Rondal Heitsch of Rugby pled guilty to robbing Bremer Bank in Bismarck, in September of 2016.
Heitsch robbed the bank in south Bismarck by handing the teller a note which demanded money.
He was later located hiding under the Expressway Bridge.
This is not Heitsch's first run in with police.
In 1991, Heitsch, attempted to escape from jail or prison twice and in 1992 he succeeded.
Heitsch has a slew of other offenses including forgery, theft and felony possession of a firearm.  
After his sentence of slightly longer than 5 years is up, he will serve 3 years probation.
