A man is in jail after police say he stole over a thousand dollars worth of tires from a Bismarck Pawn Shop.
And according to the report it started out as a found property call Wednesday morning.
Police were called to 725 Memorial Highway after a man found ten tires and and muliple rims in his cargo trailer.
When police arrived, 48 year-old Kevin Martin from Bismarck, was loading the tires into his truck.
He told police he had purchased the tires the day before.
However a report of a burglary from Bell Pawn had also come in that morning reporting missing tires.
Police watched surveillance footage and saw who they believe was Martin stealing the tires from a fenced in area.
Martin was arrested for burglary and theft of property.
The property stolen was valued at about $1,400.
