The Morton County Sheriff says protesters have been removed from private property near Cannon Ball.
Governer Jack Dalrymple and law enforcment addressed the media late this afternoon in Mandan.
He says he can't allow state highways and county roads to be taken over or have large number of people trespass withour permission.
He says late today law enforcement was successfull in clearing the north camp--the new camp that is on private property.
The governor says all protesters have either left voluntarily or have been arrested.
Sixteen people have been arrested and Sheriff Kyle Kirchmeier says numerous more are on the way to the Morton County Jail.
Governor Dalrymple says law enforcment is proceeding to move to the south and asking people to return to the main camp on Army Corps of Engineers property.
"To the best of my knowledge there have been no serious injureis.
the really important point is office made it clear to protesters that they were being asked to volntarilty to go to a differne place that was not private property, says Governor Jack Dalrymple.
The governor says he spoke with Standing Rock Tribal Chairman Dave Archambault tuesday.
Asked him if he would ask the protesters to voluntarily leave the area and go back to the main camp.
