From the KX News Dakota Storm Center:
After plenty of sunshine through most of our work week, we have been seeing mostly cloudy skies and scattered showers today. The hit & miss light rain has not affected everyone and by no means is leading to a "wash-out". However, some of us have gotten a little wet. A weak warm front will continue to move through the state with scattered light rain today. In the wake of this front, expect rain chances to end as skies clear out. Temps will fall to either side of 50 and remain above average through the weekend. Saturday & Sunday will bring more sunshine with temps topping out well into the 70s with a few 80s for some and a continued Southeast breeze. Sunday, expect increasing clouds followed by higher rain chances after Noon through the evening & overnight. Through the beginning of the work week, expect daily rain chances with scattered rain & thunderstorms becoming likely through Wednesday. Also, temperatures will gradually fall to seasonable lows and below average highs (before we see a lot more sunshine) by the end of the work week.
Tonight, partly cloudy skies with decreasing cover and a cool feel. Temps will remain above average for this time of the year. Lows on either side of 50 with a SE wind 5-15mph.
Saturday will bring more sunshine, a few clouds and temps warming above the seasonable norm. Highs in the 70s with a SE wind 10-20mph.
Saturday night, expect fair to partly cloudy skies with more cover rolling in & a pleasantly cool feel. Lows in the 40s & 50s with a SE wind 2-12mph.
Sunday will bring increasing clouds followed by scattered rain, after Noon and into the Evening. Highs in the 70s with a SE wind 5-15mph.
Sunday night, partly to mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers with a few thunderstorms possible and a light breeze. Lows in the 50s with a light SE wind 2-12mph.
