From the KX News Dakota Storm Center:

Today we have been seeing mostly cloudy skies with widespread rain & thunderstorms that have been moving through the state. This morning through the afternoon, showers & scattered thunderstorms moved across our area from the South to the North- Northeast. We did not see any severe weather, but some of us have already recorded significant rainfall totals near 2" in the last 24hrs (for parts of Northwest ND). This evening we will see tapering rain chances as showers continue to move North & NE out of our area. More rain/storms will be on the way tonight with a slight risk for severe weather in the SW corner of our area. Scattered rain with a few thunderstorms are expected Saturday and front will pass through SaturdayPM / SundayAM. In the wake of this passing front, winds will pick up becoming strong and gusty for much of the area Sunday & Monday. The beginning of the work week will bring a chilly start, plenty of sunshine and gradually warming temps through the work week. Rain chances will stay low through the rest of the 7day planner with lows in the 40s and highs warming from the 60s into the lower 70s by Hump-day.

Tonight, mostly cloudy skies and scattered rain/storms will continue, after a short break from showers/storms for some. Lows will be in the 50s with an East wind 10-20mph. 50 % chance for rain and <0.10"- 0.5" of new rain possible.

Saturday, partly to mostly cloudy skies with scattered rain through the day and there will be some clearing for parts of the area. Highs ranging from the upper 50s through the 60s & 70s with a South/SW  wind 10-20mph G30 and seasonable temps for Central & Eastern ND. The cooler spots will be in Western ND & Eastern MT. 30% chance for rain and <0.10-.25" of new rain possible.

Saturday night will bring mostly cloudy skies with more widespread rain & a few thunderstorms. Lows will be on either side of 50 with winds becoming strong as a low pushes out of the area. West/NW wind 15-25mph G40 and a 60% chance for rain.

Sunday, expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with scattered AM rain. As a front moves out of the area, expect rain chances to end as skies clear out and winds will become strong. Highs in the 50s & 60s with a West/NW wind 15-25mph G35 and a 30 % chance for rain.

Sunday night, continued clearing skies with a moderate to strong wind that will be gusty at times. Lows in the 40s with a NW wind 10-20mph G30 and a 20% chance for rain.
