"Dream Again" Fights to End Stigma of Addiction

Bismarck - A statewide campaign, "Dream Again," has launched to end the stigma of addiction.

In a  joint effort by the North Dakota Department of Human Services and Gov. Doug and First Lady Kathryn Burgum, the campaign is targeting North Dakotans who have been affected by addiction, promoting support for families, and starting the conversation about how to address and prevent this disease.

"If we can work together to eliminate the shame and stigma of the disease of addiction, we will open the door for so many more people to find recovery, to find treatment, and to help more people," Kathryn Burgum, first lady of North Dakota.

The campaign is an extension of the state's efforts to fight addiction Including the event, Recovery Reinvented, in September, which focused on finding ways to prevent, treat, and promote addiction recovery.
