Across the area today, we started off with mostly cloudy skies and scattered rain. This afternoon we saw a lot of clearing that resulted in plenty of sunshine with a West & NW breeze. Through the next couple of days, expect a somewhat active weather pattern to calm down on Sunday with in & out clouds and only a few chances of rain. This weekend will feel pleasant with seasonable temperatures, for the most part. Saturday will bring slightly warmer temps to the southern half of our area, where a little more sunshine is expected. Northwest & North- Central ND will see more cloud cover with the chance for scattered light rain Saturday & Saturday night. By Sunday, expect more sunshine as a ridge of high pressure builds over the Northern Plains. Through the beginning of the work week, there will be a sun/cloud mix with gradually warming temperatures. Highs will top out on either side of 60 by Tuesday. Tuesday night, Wednesday & Thursday, the weather pattern will become a little more active with higher rain chances and a drop in temps as a cold front moves through the Dakotas. The end of next week will bring us back into a cool range.
Tonight, will feel a little chilly with mostly clear skies and winds beginning to calm down during the evening. Lows in the 30s with a W/SE wind calming to 2-10mph.
Saturday will bring a mixture of sunshine & cloud cover with a chance for scattered showers in the Northern half of the state. The rest of Western & Central ND will see a little more sunshine with a light breeze. Highs in the 50s & 60s with a SE/East wind 5-15mph G20. 30% chance for rain, North.
Saturday night, expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with in & out clouds and a few hit & miss showers possible. Lows will be on either side of 40 with a NW wind 5-15mph still gusting near 20 for some.
Sunday will bring more sunshine with in & out clouds and slightly cooler temps. Highs in the 50s with a North/East wind 2-10mph.
Sunday night, partly cloudy skies with more clearing for some and a chilly feel. Lows in the 30s with a few 40s and a light SE wind, 2-12mph.
