Cow Crash in Lamoure County

At 7:20 p.m. on Dec 3, Ronald White III (33) of Edgeley, ND was driving his 2011 Toyota 4 Runner southbound on Highway 281.

Near mile marker 37, which is 30 miles south of Jamestown, the vehicle struck three cows in the southbound lane. The Toyota came to rest facing south in the northbound land. Two cows were injured and one was killed. The injured cows were dispatched by the owner.

The driver was wearing a seatbelt and his airbag deployed at the accident. He was transported to Jamestown Regional Medical Center for non life threatening injuries sustained in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
