Census worker says she was attacked after entering home

Bismarck, N.D. - A U.S. Census Bureau worker gets more than she bargained for when she knocked on a Bismarck man's door.

According to the Bismarck Police, Timothy Smith invited a U.S. Census worker into his home on October 22nd.

After she entered, Smith grabbed her lap top and threw it on the ground, causing it to shatter.

It was valued at $2,500. 

While transporting Smith to the Burleigh Morton Detention Center- the arresting officer said Smith made several threats.

Smith is being charged with criminal mischief and terrorizing. 

Both are Class C felonies.
