Bismarck - Seniors had the chance to voice their concerns to state lawmakers, today.
City, state, and county officials from around Bismarck held a panel at the Burleigh County Senior Center.
They covered issues such as, property taxes, the workforce shortage, and housing.
But the key concern among seniors was health care.
With one senior saying, he hopes lawmakers will focus on how to keep a growing number of older North Dakotans out of long-term care.
"As far as I'm concerned, they can try and keep [seniors] home as much as possible, get somebody in there to help them," Herbert Ritz, senior center volunteer says.
The lawmakers say they hoped to encourage spending on preventative care to help fight rising health care costs for older North Dakotans.
