Bomb threat at Minot Central Campus

4:30 p.m. UPDATE: Minot Police Department says the Central Campus in Minot is now clear. No suspicious items were located. 

The Minot Police Department Bomb Squad responded and did a full search of the building. The bomb squad requested additional aid and was assisted by the US Air Force Explosives Odor Detection Dogs.

Minot High School Central Campus will remain closed tonight. School will resume at its regular scheduled time tomorrow morning. There will be a police presence in the area of the school tomorrow. 

1:00 p.m. UPDATE:

A bomb threat has been received at Central Campus in Minot. A text alert was sent out to parents from the school. Here's the latest on this developing story.

Minot Police: "Central Campus received a Bomb Threat at 1211 hrs today.  They are following their evacuation plan, which includes moving students to nearby churches.  They will then be bussed to the City Auditorium.  Students will remain there until the building has been deemed safe by the Minot Police Department Bomb Squad.  If you choose to pick up your student at the auditorium, you must check them out first."

 

School Text Alert: "ASI Alert: This text is to let you know that Central Campus received a bomb threat at noon today. We are following our evacuation plan, which includes moving students to nearby churches. From there they will then be bussed to city auditorium. Students will remain at the auditorium until Central Campus has been deemed safe by the Minot Police Department Bomb Squad. If you choose to pick up your student at the auditorium, you must check them out."
