Bismarck Art and Galleries Association Brings South Dakota Artist to Bismarck

Bismarck - The Bismarck Art and Galleries Association will receive a $10,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
The grant will go to fund an exhibition from a South Dakota artist.
The exhibit will include a lecture and showing of Dick Termes' work.
The art gallery wanted to bring a Dakota artist to the community and give kids the opportunity to learn about a unique art form.
Termes specializes in creating Termespheres, using knowledge of math and art to create large paintings on spheres.
"People kind of have a set opinion of what art is and I think this type of exhibit kind of expands people's understanding of what art can be,"  Jan Webb, Bismarck Art and Galleries Association says.
During the exhibition Termes will also be hosting workshops at both Mandan and Bismarck high schools.
The exhibition will begin March 6 and continue through April 20.
